This lovely carving of the eternal Hindu God and the Goddess of wealth weighs 2.05 kg and is 5 inches in height. Lord Vishnu is one of the most important gods in the Hindu pantheon and, along with Brahma and Shiva, is considered a member of the holy trinity (trimurti) of Hinduism. He is the most important god of Vaishnaism, one of the largest Hindu sects. Vishnu is the preserver and protector of the universe. His role is to return to the earth in troubled times and restore the balance of good and evil. It is believed that so far, he has been incarnated nine times - the popular incarnations of Lord Vishnu include Lord Rama and Lord Krishna.
