3 Things That Are Stopping You From Success—and How to Overcome Them | Shwasam Crystals

We often hear people say, “You are already 26 years old, but you still haven’t become successful.”

And then imagine hearing the same thing at 30, 40, or even 50.

Does that mean your opportunity to become successful is over?

Absolutely not.

We all want success, and most of us want everything quickly. We want the right career, financial stability, recognition, happiness, growth, and a peaceful life and we want all of it as soon as possible.

But there is one thing we often forget: success does not have the same measurement for everyone.

What success means to you can be completely different from what it means to the people around you.

For one person, success may mean earning a certain amount of money. For another, it may mean building a business. For someone else, it may simply mean doing work that makes them happy and gives them a sense of purpose.

And many times, the work that gives you the greatest happiness can actually take you much further in life.

But then, why do we struggle to move forward?

There are three major problems that can affect our growth.

1. Stop Letting Other People’s Opinions Control You

The first and perhaps the biggest problem is that we listen too much to other people.

Someone tells you, “This will never work.”

Another person says, “Why are you doing this at your age?”

Someone else tells you, “You should choose something safer.”

And slowly, without even realizing it, you start questioning yourself.

Your confidence gets affected.

Your clarity gets affected.

And most importantly, your courage to apply your skills gets affected.

Doubt can destroy creativity.

When you constantly doubt yourself, you stop experimenting. You stop taking risks. You stop thinking differently. You become afraid of making mistakes.

And when fear becomes stronger than your confidence, even a person with incredible talent can struggle to move forward.

So, learn to protect your mind.

This does not mean that you should completely ignore everyone around you. Listen to people, but learn to decide whose opinions actually deserve importance.

Not everyone understands your vision.

Not everyone knows your journey.

And not everyone needs to understand what you are trying to build.

Sometimes, you have to trust yourself enough to continue even when nobody else understands your decision.

2. Learn the Difference Between Deep Thinking and Overthinking

The second important thing is deep thinking.

There is a huge difference between overthinking and deep thinking.

Overthinking makes you confused.

Deep thinking makes you clear.

Overthinking repeatedly asks, “What if something goes wrong?”

Deep thinking asks, “What can I do to make this work better?”

When you are working on something important, you need to go deeper.

Understand your work.

Study it.

Observe your mistakes.

Find better solutions.

Think about what you can improve.

This kind of deep work can create completely different results.

However, in today’s world, our minds are constantly surrounded by information, notifications, opinions, social media, and distractions. This can create what many people describe as mental fog a feeling where you know you need to do something, but you cannot think clearly about where to start.

This is where gemstones can become a meaningful part of your personal routine.

Clear Quartz, for example, is traditionally associated with clarity, focus, and the clearing of mental fog. Many people keep Clear Quartz near their workspace, use it as a tower or sphere, or carry it as a smaller stone while working or meditating.

The gemstone itself should not replace practical action, discipline, learning, or professional support. Think of it as a supportive object that can remind you to slow down, focus, and return your attention to what truly matters.

Sometimes, having something meaningful around you can help create a more intentional environment for deep work.

3. Stop Wasting Your Time Explaining Yourself

The third problem is something many people do without realizing it.

We spend too much time explaining ourselves.

We explain why we chose a particular career.

We explain why we started a business.

We explain why we are learning something new.

We explain why we are taking a different path.

And sometimes, while trying to convince everyone that what we are doing is right, we lose the most valuable thing we have time.

Your time is precious.

If you are not distracted by people’s opinions, that is wonderful. But even then, continuously listening to their questions, arguments, doubts, and opinions can consume your energy and time.

And when your results are delayed because you spent too much time trying to explain yourself, you may eventually realize that the explanation was never necessary.

You did not need to convince everyone.

You simply needed to do the work.

This is where gemstones such as Ruby, Sapphire, and Garnet are traditionally associated with qualities such as confidence, determination, strength, focus, and purposeful action.

Some people choose to keep these gemstones as spheres, towers, tumbled stones, carvings, pendants, or even amulets. Precious gemstones may also be worn according to individual beliefs and traditions.

The important idea is not to use a gemstone as a shortcut to success.

Instead, let it become a reminder:

“I know what I am doing. I do not need to waste all my energy proving it to everyone.”

Gemstones Can Be Part of Your Journey

Whether you choose gemstones in the form of carvings, spheres, towers, tumbles, bracelets, pendants, or amulets, they can become meaningful tools in your personal routine.

For many people, gemstones are connected with intentions such as growth, confidence, clarity, protection, focus, and emotional balance.

They may also become a symbolic reminder during difficult periods.

When you are facing financial difficulties, career confusion, personal struggles, or simply cannot understand how to move forward, you may feel completely stuck.

During such times, having something that reminds you of your intention can be comforting and motivating.

But remember one important thing: gemstones should not be considered a guaranteed solution for financial or health problems. If you are facing serious financial, physical, or mental-health difficulties, practical action and appropriate professional help are essential.

A gemstone can be a supportive part of your personal practice, but your actions, decisions, skills, discipline, and persistence are what create lasting change.

And most importantly, believe in your journey.

If you choose a gemstone, understand why you are keeping it with you. Give it personal meaning. Let it remind you of the person you are trying to become.

You do not need to become successful at 26.

You do not need to become successful at 30.

You do not need to compare your timeline with someone who is 40 or 50.

Your journey is your own.

So stop asking, “Am I late?”

Start asking, “What can I do today to move one step closer?”

Listen less to unnecessary opinions.

Think deeply.

Work consistently.

Protect your time.

Trust yourself.

And remember success is not about reaching a destination before everyone else.

Success is about continuing to grow until you become the person you always wanted to be.
